Speaking of birth, Truman Medical Centers/University Health delivers nearly half of all babies born in Kansas City, Missouri, each year. Both of our Birthplace locations—at Truman Medical Centers Health Sciences District (TMC HSD) and TMC Lakewood—have a Children's Mercy connection. In The Birthplace at TMC HSD, that connection is literal—with high-risk pregnancy experts, moms and babies crossing the Bridge of Hope each day.
Truman Medical Centers/University Health also has the only American College of Surgeons Verified Level 1 Trauma Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Our trauma team sees it all and saves lives every day.
