TOGETHER, WE CAN BUILD A WORLD WITHOUT SLAVERY We are a global fund seeking to end modern slavery. We act as a catalyst, working in the countries and sectors where it is highly prevalent. We invest in and partner with organisations and communities on the frontlines of ending slavery and exploitation. By partnering with survivors and those at risk of slavery as well as visionary investors, governments and anti-slavery organisations, we bring together the knowledge, capital and will, needed to dismantle the systems that allow slavery to exist and thrive. Through our investments and support, we aim to shift power, so that frontline organisations and communities can shape and drive the change required to bring modern slavery to an end. The Freedom Fund has an ambitious goal to raise $400 million in cumulative funding by the end of 2030. With $80 million left to reach this target and a strategic fundraising plan already in place, the Managing Director, External Relations will support and oversee the teams engagement with strategic funders and big-bet opportunities, whilst also identifying, engaging and cultivating new donors themselves. They will provide strategic input and collaborate with the team to ensure they, and other Freedom Fund senior staff, are best deployed to secure funding from governments, institutional foundations, and ultra-high net worth individuals. The Managing Director, External Relations will be a global influencer and thought leader, championing and shaping agendas surrounding modern day slavery, and in particular the importance of working closely with frontline partners and survivor leaders. The Managing Director will be expected to speak and publish widely, champion and share best practices, and pursue innovative opportunities and connections for the CEO, and other key spokespeople.
