Switchboard Attendant / Receptionist

In this role, the Switchboard Attendant/Receptionist serves as a first point of customers, shareholders, employees, retirees, visitors, and guests, ensures a welcoming and professional atmosphere. 

Some examples of activities include:

• Answer and direct all switchboard calls. 
• Register all guests, visitors and retirees, notify employees of guest/visitor arrival. 
• Page employees or guests and make announcements, as necessary. 
• Monitor the security entrances of the General Office. 
• Perform clerical duties, such as data entry and preparing mailings to support business operations.

Qualifications:

The desired candidate will possess a high school education or equivalent. Previous experience in customer service or administrative support is preferred.

To be successful in this role, we’re looking for candidates who possess the following skills and traits:

• Working PC knowledge, including basic Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office
• Basic phone skills, including timely response, proper greetings, appropriate use of hold and transfer
• Ability to be courteous and personable with a professional appearance and demeanor 
• Ability to understand and follow direction and policies
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task
