Position Overview
The Laurie M. Tisch Illumination Fund (Illumination Fund) works to increase access and opportunity for all New Yorkers and to foster healthy, vibrant communities. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Grants Manager and Office Operations serves as the operational backbone of the organization,
overseeing the full lifecycle of grants awarded by the Fund while supporting smooth day-to-day office operations.
This role combines
foundation grantmaking operations, grants management systems administration, reporting and analysis, office operations, and event coordination. It is well suited to a highly organized, analytical professional who thrives in a small, mission-driven team and enjoys balancing strategic systems work with hands-on operational support.
This role focuses on administering grants awarded by the Fund and supporting the grantmaking process. The role is ideal for a professional experienced in
foundation-side grants administration who enjoys improving systems and processes.

Qualifications
Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience administering grants with a minimum of 2-3 years at a grantmaking entity (foundation, philanthropic institution, or other grantmaking organization)
Demonstrated experience managing and improving grants management systems
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills
Experience with foundation grants management systems (Foundant preferred; Fluxx, Giving Data, or similar systems also relevant)
