Research Assistant - Hepatology The Richmond Institute for Veterans Research (RIVR), a non-profit organization, associated and located within the Richmond Veterans Administration Medical Center, in Richmond Virginia, is looking for a strong candidate for a Research Assistant position at the Richmond VA Medical Center liver center. This is NOT a government position but requires US citizenship or legal permanent residency. Summary We are seeking a candidate with a bachelor’s degree in psychology or related science field to fulfill a research assistant role supporting clinical and translational research initiatives pertaining to liver disease. Prior experience in research, data entry, and processing biological samples (blood, stool, and saliva) is strongly preferred. This is a full-time position (40 hrs. per week). Major duties include questionnaire and cognitive testing administration, sample handling and processing, and data management using standard protocols. Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Minimum Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in science-related field with at least 1 year of directly related experience including: previous training and experience in laboratory testing; familiarity with EMR systems, RED Cap or EDC platforms; Microsoft Office; and experience in behavioral or psychophysiological data collection and processing are preferred.
