Our mission at HALO Transportation is to provide safe, reliable and efficient transportation for kids with special circumstances to and from school while providing a friendly work environment for our team members.

HALO Transportation was created by Mike Severson in February 2010 with only one school bus and Mike as the only employee. The 2010/2011 school year brought a new phase in our business by beginning transporting special needs students to and from school. HALO began that year with four vans and six employees, and we have now grown to over 70 vehicles and over 80 employees.

We provide daily transportation for special needs students, homeless students and care & treatment students throughout the Twin Cities metro area. The areas served include Anoka-Hennepin, Fridley, North St. Paul, Spring Lake Park, St. Francis, and St. Paul School Districts. Mike Severson, owner, and his staff have over 50 years of experience in the bussing industry. Our staff is always available at the office during business hours to offer assistance to schools, parents, and employees.

People often ask where the name HALO Transportation came from. Mike took the first two letters of his children's names, H Ayley and L Ogan, putting them together to create HALO Transportation.

Salary/Compensation: $16.50 - $21.00 per hour
