Mayfield Village Civil Service Commission announces an open, competitive entrance examination for the position of Full-Time Skilled Employee for the Service Department. Only 40 applications will be accepted. Applicants will be charged a non-refundable fee of $25.00 at the time they submit the application in person. Applicant shall be a citizen of the United States, a resident of the State of Ohio by date of appointment, a high school graduate or GED equivalency, and must be at least 18 years of age. The applicant must possess a valid driver’s license. Applicant must obtain a Class B Commercial Driver’s License within twelve (12) months of the date of hire. The applicant must be in good physical condition and capable of performing the physical functions required. The job summary involves performing various labor-related job duties. Applicants are required to take a written examination on Tuesday, March 17th at 6: 00 p.m. at the Mayfield Village Community Room. The minimum passing grade-score is 70 points with additional credits for military service and for service with the Mayfield Village Service Department. Successful applicants must pass a BMV check, a background check and a pre-employment drug screen. The salary range for the position is $55,000.00 – $80,000.00.
