Kiln Operator

Join our established manufacturing company as a Kiln Operator, where we invite dedicated individuals to apply for this crucial role. The position starts at $20.00 per hour, and after a successful completion of a 60-day probationary period, compensation will increase to $26.57 per hour. We require availability on weekends and holidays, as this role operates on a rotating 12-hour shift schedule. Both night and day shift are required. No prior experience is necessary; we provide comprehensive training for the right candidates willing to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure safe and efficient operation of kiln and dryer transfers as well as haulages.
• Conduct daily visual inspections of kiln cars in the store room, and monitor the quality of cars entering and exiting the kiln.
• Assist in pushing bricks onto kiln cars to prevent them from falling, and promptly pick up and replace any falling bricks.
• Maintain an accurate log of all products entering and exiting the kiln, ensuring cars are correctly tracked.
• Manage functioning of flashing valves, turning them on and off as required.
• At the end of each shift, fill the kiln sand using shovels and buckets and ensure sand pits at the kiln and dryer exits are clear, using rods to clear any blockages.
• Collect bricks for quality assessment and record data into our computer system.
• Identify and troubleshoot any operational issues and communicate for assistance when necessary.
• Make safety your top priority, followed by maintaining product quality and efficient production.
