Production Cost Accountant

Support standardization across APG printing plants while developing cost- reduction and pricing strategies to maximize return on investment. Prepare internal budget reports and perform month-end close activities, including reconciliations. Investigate financial discrepancies, conduct audits, and ensure ongoing compliance with APG accounting standards.

Responsibilities Analyze production and manufacturing costs to improve efficiency and compare standard vs. actual costs. Ensure accurate expense classification in compliance with GAAP. + Review material and service costs for accuracy and pricing opportunities. Participate in inventory counts, evaluate inventory needs, and analyze quarterly cost allocations. Prepare cost projections to support regional decision-making. Travel to APG locations up to 10%.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, commerce, or accounting.

+ 3+ years of accounting experience; printing environment experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting systems.

Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

Ability to translate data and analysis into clear, actionable reports.

CPA or CMA certification preferred.

Strong aptitude for data analysis, cost modeling, and cross- functional collaboration.
