The Director of Operations and Business Development is responsible for leading and scaling Coolsmart Medical Logistics’ healthcare logistics operations while driving sustainable business growth.
This role ensures operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and high-quality service delivery across medical courier and transportation functions, while strengthening client relationships and expanding the company’s presence within the healthcare logistics market.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage daily operations across medical courier services, and transportation functions.
- Design and execute operational strategies to support healthcare clients, including hospitals, laboratories, pharmacies, and healthcare networks.
- Lead business development efforts by identifying growth opportunities, responding to RFPs and RFIs, and supporting strategic partnerships.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with healthcare providers, vendors, and institutional partners.
- Drive continuous operational improvement initiatives focused on service reliability, regulatory compliance, and cost efficiency.
- Ensure full compliance with U.S. healthcare logistics regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, DOT, and applicable state requirements.
- Monitor industry trends and analyze client feedback to support service enhancement and market expansion initiatives.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership and operational management capabilities within logistics or supply chain environments.
- Strong understanding of healthcare logistics operations, including medical courier services and transportation.
- Proven ability to support business development efforts, including client engagement and participation in RFP and RFI responses.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring service quality, compliance, and operational efficiency.
