The Department of Pediatrics at Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution, and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, located in downtown Chicago, invites applications for the position of Division Chief of Pediatric Pulmonology. This is a unique opportunity to build a pediatric pulmonology program at a leading academic medical center. We are seeking an entrepreneurial leader who is excited to establish and grow a comprehensive clinical and academic program in an established academic medical center. The Division Chief will build upon existing strengths, including a dedicated Pulmonary Nurse Practitioner and a robust Cystic Fibrosis program, to create a comprehensive pulmonology service. Working closely with the Department Chairperson, the Division Chief will develop an energetic and inventive vision for expanding clinical services, educational programs, and research initiatives, while developing strategic interdisciplinary teams and fostering faculty development. The Rush University Children's Hospital (RUCH) is part of the Rush University Medical Center (RUMC). It is an academic medical center that has 110 pediatric beds. RUMC is a 671-bed hospital serving adults and children in downtown Chicago, Illinois. It includes the 58- adult bed Johnston R. Bowman Health Center, Rush University and Rush Health. Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, knowledge and skills; relevant experience and training; education, certifications, and licensure; primary work location; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role, as well as additional compensation such as sign-on and retention bonuses and relocation allowances.
