The Knox County Landfill is accepting applications until 4: 00pm; January 12, 2026, for the position of Laborer.

The starting hourly wage for this position is $26.05, this position comes with full County benefits.

Candidates must be able to perform general laborer task, such as picking papers, putting up fencing, mowing, cleaning buildings, painting, etc. Applicants will be subject to a background check and a pre-employment drug test.

The Knox County Landfill #3 is located on 996 Knox Road 2150 North, Wataga, IL 61488. The landfill is closed on all US federal holidays. The dumps on the landfill are regulated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the applicable state laws.

Salary/Compensation: $26.05 per hour
