The University of South Carolina Union invites applications for a 9-month, full-time Instructor of Biology. Teaching requirements include face-to-face and distance education, potentially including evening and/or weekend classes, along with teaching dual-enrollment classes at the USC Union campus, USC Union Laurens location, and on-site at various affiliated high schools. This role will entail instructing six courses per semester (6-6 course load). A strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, as well as participation in university and community service, is expected. The selected candidate will have the responsibility of teaching introductory biology courses and any upper-level courses as needed. Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Biology or a related field, with 18 graduate hours in Biology from an accredited university by the beginning date of employment, including credentials necessary for departmental approval to teach introductory and upper-level courses as needed.
