Morris Central School has the following opening: Regular-Run Bus Driver Full-time Bus Driver8-hour day, 10-month position The Regular Run School Bus Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of students to and from school, following assigned morning and afternoon routes. This position requires strict adherence to traffic laws, safety regulations, and district transportation policies. The driver ensures that students are picked up and dropped off at designated stops, maintains order and discipline on the bus, and provides a safe, respectful environment for all passengers. Duties include conducting daily vehicle inspections, reporting maintenance needs, keeping accurate route and attendance records, and communicating effectively with parents, staff, and supervisors. The driver must demonstrate patience, reliability, and sound judgment, especially in varying weather and traffic conditions. A valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements, a clean driving record, and successful completion of required background checks and training are required.
