  City Reporter
The Oklahoman / oklahoman.com part of the
USA TODAY NETWORK, is seeking applicants for a city reporter. Our city reporter does more than cover city hall, they are endlessly curiouis about the city they live in and the different communities that make it up. The reporter looks for great story telling opportunities that illuminate the quality of life for all people living in Oklahoma City and surrounding areas, the challenges they face and how they're being impacted by policies being promulgated at the city, state and federal levels. They also look for uplifting stories of people who are making a difference and the bright spots that make this area a joy to live in. At the same time, the city reporter is a relentless watchdog, keeps a log of open records requests and follows up on them, and unflinchingly informs readers the good, bad and the ugly of how their tax dollars are being spent, who is benefitting and who is not. The ideal candidate knows how to develop a beat, understands the importance of shooting video and photos on the spot, and has a deft story telling touch.
