Position Title: Job Category: Employment Type: Job Profile: Job Duties: The School of Art & Design at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, Wisconsin's Polytechnic University, invites applications for a full-time Lecturer in Video Production. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, NASAD-accredited program and shape the next generation of video professionals in a vibrant and collaborative academic environment. This is a 9-month academic year instructional staff position, with full benefits and intent to renew for future years at 75% or greater employment. This position will commence in August 2026. Seeking a colleague to deliver engaging, hands-on instruction within our B.S. in Video Production program, a program with a proven track record of placing graduates in their fields. The primary teaching responsibilities will be at the undergraduate level, with potential opportunities for graduate-level instruction. The successful candidate will guide students through a career-defining curriculum focused on creating professional commercial content. All course delivery is in-person and meets the rigorous standards of our NASAD accreditation. The ideal candidate will bring contemporary, industry-relevant expertise to a range of studio courses, including but not limited to commercial video production, digital photography, editing, documentary, and advertising. A core focus of this position will be instructing students in client-oriented commercial video production, with an emphasis on:

Department: The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Video Production program prepares students for a wide range of careers creating and producing professional motion content. The success of our students is derived from a curriculum that emphasizes a career-defining, hands-on approach, combining theory with practical application and experimentation. Students are trained on industry-standard software and hardware by faculty with extensive professional experience. The program has strong industry partnerships, facilitated by a Program Advisory Committee, and offers professional internship placements. The School of Art & Design (SOAD) has over 85 faculty/staff and over 1,300 students, making it the largest public higher education art and design entity in the upper Midwest.
