Contract Administrator Job Description PURPOSE SUMMARY. Oversees the County’s central purchasing functions. Develops contracts with standard performance measures and monitors contracts. ESSENTIAL DUTIES.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES. Other related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS. A. Education. Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, public administration or related field B. Experience. Two (2) years experience in contract development, review, evaluation or management; auditing, or procurement/purchasing C. Education/Experience substitution. In accordance with County policy D. Licenses/Certifications. N/A E. Other (e.g., post-offer medical exam, polygraph, background check, driver’s license record, etc.). Background check and Credit check KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED BY THE POSITION: Knowledge of: Contract preparation, implementation and control; Contract program administration, execution procedures and policies; Program monitoring and evaluation techniques; Applicable laws and regulations governing contract administration and procurement; Procurement strategies and techniques; and Performance measurements and strategies as related to contracts. Skill in: Organizational management; Analysis of statistical data; Report writing; Contract writing; Operating a personal computer and productivity software such as Microsoft Office and flowcharting applications; Effective communication; Pubic speaking; and establishing effective working relationships.
