Reporting to the Vice President of Development, the Principal Gifts Officer will lead the development and execution of a strategic plan to secure investments of $1,000,000 and above to support the mission and vision of FIU and advance the campaign priorities, institutional strategic plan. The position requires the experience and expertise necessary to foster and build relationships with high-capacity donors and prospects. Working with the Division of University Advancement's senior leadership and in collaboration with university academic and administrative leadership, the Principal Gifts Officer will serve as the lead facilitator and manager. They will work to effectively engage and respond to these individuals as partners, according to their interests, expertise, and alignment with the University's mission and strategic plan. Florida International University is Miami's only public research university offering bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees, both on campus and fully online. A bachelor's degree and seven years of fundraising experience, or corporate development, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required for this position.
