Reporting to the Vice President of University Advancement, the Assistant Vice President of Development will be a senior leader within the University Advancement division, responsible for overseeing the strategy, execution, and performance of the university's philanthropic development efforts. This role provides operational leadership and tactical oversight for major gifts, planned giving, athletics giving, and advancement services. The AVP serves as the internal engine of fundraisingmanaging people, systems, and production to ensure optimal performance and outcomes. In addition to supervising a comprehensive development team, the AVP will maintain a portfolio of major gift prospects and is expected to personally secure $1 million or more annually in philanthropic support. The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record in fundraising leadership, a data-informed approach to strategy, and a commitment to donor-centric relationship building. This $125 million comprehensive campaign aims to strategically build upon three pillars of UE's rich legacy: a transformational, accessible education, bringing academics to life, and faculty that discover, teach, and mentor. A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least seven years of experience is required for this position. An advanced degree in nonprofit management, business, public administration, or a related field and experience working in a comprehensive capital campaign in a higher education setting is preferred.
