Specialist, First Green & Workforce Development

GCSAA is seeking an organized, proactive professional to play a pivotal role in advancing GCSAA's workforce development objectives, focused on building a future-ready, inclusive and diverse golf course maintenance workforce. Position will support and drive key programs and services for GCSAA members with First Green field trip initiatives and cultivate relationships with students and academic institutions to enhance career development and promote scholarship programs. • Creative thinking skills with the ability to be flexible and adaptable
• Excellent written, verbal and communication skills while working in a collaborative team environment 
• Top-notch customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with membership and others
  Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated with ability to working independently
• Associates or bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience working in a professional office environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word, Power Point, etc.) and knowledge of membership database software preferred
• Knowledge of career management or leadership assessment tools/resources highly desired
• Experience in career coaching desired, but not required
• Exposure of the golf industry and/or golf course management
• Experience working in a membership-driven organization helpful
• Ability to travel (>10%), overnight stays included
• Position will work from our headquarters in Lawrence, KS and live within a commutable distance

Hourly pay rate $21.00 - $22.50/hour. In addition to GCSAA's attractive compensation/benefits package, we also provide generous paid leave and allow for community involvement opportunities.
