SUMMARY:   For over 85 years, Van Doren Oil Company has proudly served Hunterdon County and portions of Somerset, Morris, and Warren Counties as a supplier of home heating oil, diesel and gasoline. As a family-owned and operated business, we pride ourselves on the personal touch and the exceptional service we deliver to our customers. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Customer Service Representative who will be the first point of contact for our clients, assisting them through phone calls and addressing inquiries while managing several clerical tasks to ensure our office operates smoothly and efficiently.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Handle incoming calls effectively and route them to the corresponding departments.
• Schedule deliveries, service calls, preventative maintenance and other appointments.
• Assist the Accounts Receivable team with mail handling, payment posting, and other processing duties.
• Oversee the management of the company’s email inbox.
• Monitor the general voicemail inbox to ensure prompt responses.
• Conduct mail pick-up for VDOC at the local post office.
• Perform any additional related duties as assigned by supervisors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Preferred Advanced Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• A minimum of 3 years experience in a customer service role.
• Demonstrated commercial awareness related to the HVAC industry.
• A strong commitment to quality and precision in all tasks.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Exemplary organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and adept at learning new software applications.

WORK SCHEDULE:                                Monday- Friday, 9am – 3pm

JOB TYPE:                                              Part-Time

Salary/Compensation: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
