About the Department:The Met's membership program is one of the largest in the world, and includes more than 140,000 loyal members from around the globe. Members give $90 to $50,000+ annually, and collectively contribute more than $30M per year. The membership program is in a period of rapid growth and change, as it rebounds from the pandemic and innovates its operations. Within Membership, the Patron Program includes nearly 2,000 individuals who make unrestricted annual gifts of $2,500 to $50,000, totaling more than $6 million in revenue each year. While the Patron Program is successful, there has never been a dedicated team focused on growing this group. GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIESReporting to the Chief Membership Officer, you will lead efforts to take the Patron Program to new heights. You will build a team, develop a comprehensive strategy to grow Patron revenue, manage a portfolio of donors and prospects, and lead the program to reach its full potential. You are a strategic leader as well as a team player. You excel at building and managing relationships. You enjoy soliciting gifts and in mentoring others to do the same. You are excited by the opportunity to build, grow, and manage a program. You are results-driven and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You are passionate about art and skilled in the various stages of solicitation, including prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. Visa Sponsorship Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Location Requirements At time of employment, employees are expected to be located within commuting distance of the Museum. "Commuting distance" means that they are located in one of following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, or Pennsylvania (the "Tri-state and PA" areas), and be able to commute to and from the Museum in a single day.
