JOB TITLE: Athletic Field Construction Specialist
LOCATION: Based in the Topeka area, with required travel across the region
PAY STRUCTURE: Base salary will depend on experience, disbursed bi-weekly; mileage compensation is available for travel using a personal vehicle.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
In this role, the candidate will be responsible for a range of duties, including but not limited to:
- Safely operating and handling a variety of equipment, including:
   o Tractor
   o Attachments such as tillers, rollers, seeders
   o Laser grading devices
   o Heavy-duty trucks
   o Trailers (when loaded and unloaded)
   o Miscellaneous tools and machinery
- Working collaboratively with teammates, subcontractors, and customers;
- Creating and adhering to layout designs based on specific construction requirements;
- Demonstrating flexibility to work longer hours and weekends as required;
- Representing the company in a professional manner at all times;
- Complying with instructions from supervisors;
- Engaging in manual labor and occasionally lifting objects exceeding 50 pounds;
- Upholding a clean and safe work environment on job sites and company premises;
- Completing all assigned projects effectively to ensure maximum customer satisfaction;
- Communicating respectfully and effectively with all clients; and
- Performing additional duties as necessary.

Desired Skills and Competencies:
Candidates for this position should showcase strong communication skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and problem-solving abilities. A self-starter who is committed to delivering high-quality results without needing extensive supervision is essential. A basic understanding of equipment operation is needed, while extensive experience is greatly preferred. Formal education or experience in turfgrass management will be an advantage.

The selected applicant must successfully pass a drug screening and a background check before employment.

Licenses and Certifications Required:
A valid driver’s license is essential, along with a safe driving record, as this role involves significant driving and operating equipment safely. Compliance with DOT regulations is a must.

Working Conditions:
Expected to work flexible hours, predominantly from Monday to Friday, with travel throughout the region. Overnight trips may sometimes be necessary. Must be prepared to work in various weather conditions and be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
