Job Responsibilities
The Senior Program Reporting Analyst role is focused on ensuring the timeliness, quality, accuracy and completeness of the data coming into the company’s systems from external sources. The senior reporting analyst will liaise with all internal functional areas as well as our business partners to ensure data requirements support downstream processes and analytics. The Reporting Analyst will report directly to the Quality Assurance Operations Manager. The individual will be responsible for the following:
- Ensure integrity and timeliness of the data reporting process between Program Administrators, TPA’s, Company and Reinsurers
- Perform advanced data reviews to ensure accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance
- Identify and resolve complex data discrepancies independently and in collaboration with stakeholders
- Coordinate with internal/external business partners and/or vendors to research and resolve issues
- Coordinate Bordereaux template set-up and implementation with our external business partners
- Identify and address deficiencies or gaps in existing MGA and TPA provided data and coordinate with business partners to develop and implement solutions that address those gaps
- Ensure proper documentation of procedures for process control and improvement
- Support the launch of new products and product enhancements by ensuring accurate data integration into reporting systems
- Manage the set-up and configuration of systems
- Deliver training for new users
- Serve as a technical mentor and thought partner to junior analysts
- Drive initiatives to improve reporting accuracy, operational efficiency, and data integrity
- Identify automation opportunities and lead the development of tools or templates to reduce manual effort
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives and system upgrades as a reporting SME
- Develop documentation and knowledge-sharing materials for new tools, processes, and best practices
- Actively participate by asking questions, volunteering answers, and assisting teammates as appropriate
- Effectively use online resources, automation tools, and computer software packages
- Continuously develop and strengthen the skills required for success in the position
- Participate in calls with various business partners and external vendors
Required Skills/Experience
- Minimum 4 years of related experience, preferably at an insurance carrier, MGA or TPA
- Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in a technical field such as Business Analytics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, etc.
- Proven experience in working with large datasets, validating data accuracy, and resolving discrepancies
- Advanced Excel skills, including use of macros, pivot tables, power pivot and complex formulas
- Superior analytical, problem-structuring, and critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated communication skills, verbal and written, with a variety of audiences at all levels, both internal and external
- Ability to manage and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Solid time management skills
- Ability to recognize issues and opportunities to improve processes and drive efficiencies
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to interface across multiple departments and organizational levels
- Comfortable collaborating with IT and data teams to troubleshoot or improve data pipelines and reporting systems
- Demonstrated leadership potential, including coaching peers, initiating process improvements, or leading small projects
- Prior exposure to carrier or Bordereaux reporting processes.
