Description
The City of Wentzville is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused IT Support Analyst to join our team. This position plays a vital role in delivering technical support to City employees by resolving hardware, software, and system configuration issues. The IT Support Analyst also provides routine troubleshooting, maintenance, and fundamental IT services to ensure the smooth operation of the City’s technology environment.
Essential Job Duties
- Provide assistance to City employees with IT support requests via email, chat, phone, or in person.
- Document resolutions for support requests and maintain accurate knowledge base articles.
- Maintain and troubleshoot computers, telephones, printers, and other equipment/software to ensure secure and efficient operations.
- Set up new computer systems and perform routine maintenance.
- Analyze information and evaluate results to determine the best solution to technical issues.
- Prepare and configure equipment for new users.
- Log and track assets, including both hardware and software.
- Organize, track, and decommission IT inventory as needed.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications
Job Qualifications – Education, experience, and training that are required or desirable in order to effectively perform the job at the time of hire. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. Additional requirements and/or substitutions may be requested and require the approval of HR.
- Associate or Technical degree is required.
- High school diploma along with related professional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an end-user support role.
- Comp TIA A+ certification is required or obtained within six months of hire.
- NIMS IS-700 and ICS-100 are required or obtained within six months of hire.
- Valid driver’s license required.

- Ability to create and maintain written technical documentation.

- Ability to provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with supervisors, co-workers, and customers by telephone, in writing, and in person.

- Proficiency in the use of essential business software (word processing, spreadsheets, email, presentations) and essential office equipment.
