Treasurer

Duties and Responsibilities:

Providing leadership in developing and implementing the University's overall financial strategy.
Preparing, monitoring, and controlling the Annual Budget in line with the University's strategic goals.
Ensuring compliance with national and international accounting standards, relevant laws, and University financial policies.
Overseeing financial planning, resource mobilization, and risk management. Supervising all financial and accounting operations including audits, tax matters, and investment activities.
Ensuring transparency, accountability, and efficient utilization of University resources.
Reporting regularly to the Vice Chancellor and the Board of Trustees on the financial status and forecasts.

Qualifications:

Postgraduate degree in any business discipline, preferably in Accounting or Finance or MBA with Accounting/ Finance concentration.
Minimum two first divisions/ classes in board/ university examinations of which at least one should be at the undergraduate/Masters level or minimum CGPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0) in above-mentioned examinations or equivalent. Proven experience in financial management, corporate governance, and administrative responsibilities, particularly in higher education institutions, will be considered an asset.

Experience:

Minimum 10 (ten) years of experience in teaching a business subject as a Professor in public/private universities or equivalent organizations.
