The University of Chicago Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice invites applications for a tenured position at the rank of Full Professor. We seek a nationally recognized scholar whose research focuses on K-12 education in urban communities, with particular attention to the social, economic, cultural, and political contexts that shape educational systems, experiences, and outcomes. We are especially interested in candidates whose work engages rigorously with education policy and practice, advances theoretical and empirical understandings of disparities in educational opportunity and outcomes, and informs interventions or reforms that strengthen the quality and effectiveness of schooling.
