(DO NOT APPLY THROUGH SCHOOL SPRING) - Apply via directions below: The Workforce & Career Connections Coordinator is a qualified, competent and experienced full year appointee of the school district who supports the Director of Workforce and Economic Development and fulfills responsibilities and duties in a fast-paced environment throughout the calendar year.
Responsibilities and Duties: Outreach & Recruitment: •Develop and execute recruitment strategies to meet projected enrollment goals and maintain a strong candidate pool. •Target outreach efforts toward individuals including unemployed and underemployed Massachusetts residents aged 18+ who are authorized to work in the U.S. •Implement additional program admission requirements as defined for each career pathway.
Participant Eligibility Screening: •Screen all applicants for eligibility in accordance with CTI Eligibility Policy. •Maintain and share eligibility documentation for monitoring purposes. •Assess applicants against additional program entry requirements.
Career Advising & Readiness Training: •Conduct individualized career counseling to assess skills, interests, and professional goals. •Provide support with resume development, interview techniques, and job search strategies. •Assist students in identifying career paths that align with their education and work experience. •Design and facilitate career readiness workshops covering topics such as workplace professionalism, communication, resume writing, and job application techniques. •Organize job fairs, networking sessions, reverse job fairs, and mock interview events to connect students with potential employers.
Student Engagement & Case Management: •Develop and implement initiatives such as workshops, networking events, and seminars to enhance student involvement. •Serve as a liaison between students, instructors, and community partners to encourage collaboration and resource sharing. •Conduct surveys and gather feedback to continuously improve engagement efforts. •Provide individualized support to participants, addressing barriers such as childcare, transportation, and housing assistance through Mass Hire support services.
Employer & Community Outreach: •Establish and maintain partnerships with local employers to create job placement, internship, and mentorship opportunities. •Organize employer visits, career fairs, and recruitment events specifically designed for adult learners.
Job Placement Support: •Support graduates in securing training-related employment and track job retention for 30 days. •Document employer details, employment start dates, job titles, wages, benefits, and other relevant employment information.
Resource Management: •Maintain and update a repository of career resources, including job listings, training programs, and industry-specific tools. •Keep students informed on labor market trends, certification opportunities, and workforce development initiatives.
Administrative Duties: •Handle phone inquiries, respond to emails, and follow up on messages. •Process student enrollments, withdrawals, refunds, and credits. •Budget and finance experience •Assist the Director of Workforce and Economic Development with additional responsibilities as needed.

1.Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, human resources, or a related field. 2.Experience in career advising, workforce development, or adult education. 3.Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. 4.Understanding of the unique challenges faced by adult learners transitioning careers. 5.Background in event planning and community engagement. 6.Knowledge of local and regional job markets. 7.Experience working with diverse populations. 8.Possess a thorough knowledge of and familiarity with modern office technology, electronic equipment and software applications and operations. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point) in a Windows environment, data entry and online registration systems. Proficient with mail merge and exporting to Excel. 9.Maintain confidential information. 10.Evenings required (flexible schedule). 11.Possess physical and emotional capacity to fulfill responsibilities and duties expected. This position involves sitting at a desk for several hours a day, sustained hand/wrist movement as in writing or using a computer keyboard/mouse. Other activities may include moderate to frequent physical exertion in body movements such as reaching, bending and twisting.
Compensation and Terms of Employment: 1.Weekly salary based on qualifications and experience. Salary Range: $85,000 -$90,000 (annualized) 2.Full year, full -time assignment - 52 weeks, 37.5 hours per week. 7.5 hours/day with a half hour duty free lunch period. Evening hours -TBD either 11: 00AM – 7: 00PM or 12: 00PM – 8: 00PM. 3.The school district will provide necessary facilities, equipment, materials and supplies as needed to accomplish assignment. 4.All benefits and entitlements available to Full Year Support Personnel will be provided.
