Job Description for Integration Development Engineering Technician
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Hands-on operation of process, and support equipment, updating operating procedures and specifications, maintaining and updating automated documentation, internal customer applications support, characterization as well as recipe creation and data mining and automation per guidance of the engineering staff.
- The applicant must be able to work with and update automation scripts with engineering guidance to improve group efficiency.
- The successful applicant must be able to interface effectively with Fab Operations, Equipment, Process and Integration Engineers. The Integration Development Eng Tech- TECH III will execute tasks in support of process engineering development in a wide range of technology development projects; working alongside a diverse group of Process and Integration Engineers to develop and evaluate semiconductor equipment in the Albany facilities 300mm fabrication and characterization line.
- Tracking the progress of technology development silicon through the development line environment is required as well as interfacing with Workstation Operators (Cleanroom Operators) to ensure the proper execution of experiments in photolithography, etch, wet cleans, CVD, PVD, CMP, metrology, electrical characterization and other sectors.
- The Integration Development Eng Tech- TECH III will be involved in wafer-lot characterization, metrology, inspection, and data review, with daily reporting of such data to the NY CREATES Engineering teams.
- Must exhibit self-discipline, steady work pace, and be able to work under minimal supervision.
- Integration Development Eng Tech- TECH III will address wafer-lots on hold and work with engineering staff to establish a path forward balancing speed with quality.
- Must be accountable for individual results and for the impact of the results on the team.
- Accuracy, quality and productivity of work are all required.

Requirements:
Minimum Requirements for Integration Development Engineering Technician
- An associate's degree in an engineering or science related discipline from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization OR equivalent experience which includes at least 5 years of semiconductor industry or research and development experience.
- Candidate must have a working knowledge in one or more process tools or modules required to build advanced CMOS or memory devices and demonstrate proficiency in computer and IT infrastructure including being proficient in the at least one programming language manufacturing execution system applications, project planning, and forward thinking for contributing to process solutions for test wafer flows and equipment evaluation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- The candidate must be willing to execute a variety of tasks on short notice.
- Knowledge of MS Office and graphical plotting software is recommended.
- Must be willing to work either evening or day shifts.
This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check; this position may require annual background checks.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- A bachelor's degree in an engineering or science related discipline with proficiency in Python scripting and automation.
- Semiconductor equipment operation knowledge is strongly recommended.
