Driver Education Instructor

Driver Education Instructor MPH seeks to hire a part-time Driver Education Instructor for our established program which is offered 3 times/year (June-August, September-December, and January-May). Our instructors teach both theory class and behind-the-wheel instruction. Classes and drives are offered after school, evenings, and weekends. Qualifications Valid MV-283 certification (New York State Driving Instructor Certificate). Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Previous experience as a driving instructor or relevant experience in teaching/coaching is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to and engage high school students. Patience and the ability to remain calm under pressure, particularly in stressful driving situations. Knowledge of state traffic laws and regulations. Ability to work flexible hours, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends as needed. This position requires a background check. Competitive salary and flexible schedule.
