The Michigan Medicine Department of Neurology is seeking an outstanding BC/BE fellowship-trained Movement Disorders specialist for a full-time clinical track appointment. This is an exciting opportunity to practice in a collegial and collaborative academic environment. Responsibilities include providing excellent outpatient care for general movement disorders patients, training students, residents and fellows, and participating in patient-based research and clinical trials. The specific combination of research, teaching and clinical work is flexible and will be matched to the career goals of the applicant. Faculty rank and compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. The Division of Parkinson's Disease and Related Movement Disorders has 14 full-time faculty, 1-2 fellows annually, and robust clinical, education, and research programs. Movement Disorders faculty see approximately 6000 patient-visits per year, direct Deep Brain Stimulation programs at the University Hospital and affiliated VA, and staff Chemodenervation and Ataxia Clinics. Our clinical programs include a Parkinson's Foundation Center of Excellence, a National Ataxia Foundation Center of Excellence, and a Cure PSP Center of Care. The Division also conducts a wide range of research activities across the translational spectrum from basic research to clinical trials and is home to both a Parkinson's Foundation Research Center of Excellence and a Udall Center of Excellence for Parkinson's Research.
