General Description:
This position organizationally falls under the Dental Director of the Kickapoo Tribal Health Center and Associated Programs and Services as operated by the Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma. Operational hours vary to serve the health care needs of the population. The purpose of this position is to provide dental hygiene treatments & examinations, assesses oral hygiene needs and designs individual oral hygiene programs to meet those needs, provides assistance to the dentist at chair side, takes and develop dental x-rays, makes notations in chart & provides other services related directly to operation of dental clinic. Performs duties in support of the tribal health center mission to ensure the highest quality of patient care in an economically sound and efficient manner.

Work Experience and/or Education:
Education: Associates Degree
Experience: 1-year of experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Bi-lingual (English and Kickapoo) speaking preferred, but not required.
Licensure: Applicants must be currently licensed to practice as a dental hygienist in a State or territory of the United States or the District of Columbia.

Requirements:
All applicants tentatively selected for employment will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment and random drug testing throughout employment.
Will be required to have an OSBI and Federal background clearance.
Must have valid Oklahoma Driver License.
