A.W. Beattie Career Center Advertising Design CIP Code 50.0402 2025-2026 A.W. Beattie Career Center is seeking a qualified individual to fill the above position beginning with the 2025-2026 school year. Letter of application, resume, and the standard Pennsylvania School Application located on the Career Center website along with a copy of all related certifications are required to be submitted. This position requires a flexible thinker who can work collaboratively while engaging high school students in all phases of the graphic design/visual communications career pathway. This position is within the teacher’s collective bargaining unit. Position Requirements: -A minimum of four years (8,000 hours) of full-time documented paid employment within the graphic design, printing, or multimedia career fields, with a willingness to pursue and obtain necessary teaching certification. -A focus on design with an understanding of printing/production is key. Skilled in the use of equipment and materials specific to the field of graphic design/visual communications. -Using experience as part of an interdisciplinary team to collaborate and enhance program-specific lessons for student achievement. - Must have a good working knowledge of all facets of Adobe Creative Suite software, with the ability to deliver curriculum materials at the high school level. The selected individual must have the ability to lift forty pounds (40lbs.) safely and adhere to all industry safety procedures. -Engage with other program instructors, industry professionals, and local advisory board to collaboratively enhance program-specific lessons, including assessments, curriculum development and implementation, and engage students in meaningful learning experiences. The selected candidate will need to meet all required local, state, and federal employment requirements prior to employment. This position requires a pre-employment drug screening.
