Maintenance Position

Oneonta City School District has the following vacancy: Maintenance Position Must meet minimum civil service requirements. Salary: $37,402 per CSEA contract.General Statement of Duties: Performs a variety of semi-skilled mechanical, construction, or maintenance work; does related work as required.Distinguishing Features of the Class: This is semi-skilled work involving independent performance of construction, maintenance and repair work. Employees in this class may cover all areas of the maintenance field, or they may concentrate in one or a few areas. The work may involve the part-time operation of a truck, automobile or other automotive equipment. The work is performed under varying degrees of supervision depending upon the assignment, and is reviewed by immediate observation, by periodic or spot checks, by another step in the process and upon completion.Acceptable Training and Experience: Either: a) Two (2) years of experience in either general building maintenance, heavy construction or building trades work; orb) Two (2) years of experience in one or more of the standard trades, such as carpentry, plumbing, or electrical; orc) An equivalent combination of training and experience as indicated in (a) and (b) Annual Compensation per CSEA contract: $37,402 Oneonta City School District is an equal opportunity employer.
