Salary: $18 - $20 per hour The Custodial/Light Maintenance position at an art museum is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for visitors, staff, and artwork. Duties include routine custodial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, and restocking supplies. Special attention is given to protecting exhibits and display areas while cleaning. Light maintenance responsibilities include changing light bulbs, performing minor repairs, assisting with exhibit installations or furniture setups, and monitoring facility systems for issues. The custodian ensures museum spaces are presentable and accessible for daily operations and special events. This role requires strong attention to detail, respect for artwork, and the ability to work discreetly around visitors. Candidates must be reliable, self-motivated, and capable of lifting up to 50 pounds. Experience in custodial or maintenance work, particularly in museum or gallery settings, is preferred.
