Lee Enterprises is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the development of digital experiences that power our news and content platforms. In this role, you'll shape the roadmap for high-impact B2C features that drive audience growth, engagement, and monetization. You'll work closely with engineering, UX, and editorial teams to deliver products that serve millions of readers across web and mobile channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage a prioritized and integrated roadmap which reflects a comprehensive set of Audience initiatives tied to business outcomes.
- Manage a prioritized two-sprint backlog for cross-functional agile teams delivering consumer-facing features.
- Write clear and concise user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria that reflect business goals and user needs.
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver intuitive and accessible digital experiences.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies, leading refinement sessions, and ensure delivery of roadmap initiatives on time and within scope.
- Monitor and optimize digital experiences with a focus on page performance, content personalization, and ad revenue impact.
- Deliver weekly updates to stakeholders and leadership, clearly summarizing progress, tradeoffs, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Use tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, and Google Analytics to manage execution and measure success.
- Partner with marketing and data teams to define and track audience KPIs, subscription funnels, and retention metrics.
- Maintain executive-level communication and business cases using Power Point, Excel, and clear storytelling techniques.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years in digital product management, with at least 2 years focused on media, publishing, or B2C platforms.
- Deep understanding of audience engagement, content distribution, and monetization strategies (ads, subscriptions, paywalls).
- Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and Agile methodology.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (engineering, editorial, marketing, UX) to deliver consumer-first products.
- Skilled in presenting ideas to senior executives and communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong command of Excel and Power Point for analysis, reporting, and communication.
- Familiarity with SEO, Core Web Vitals, and responsive design best practices.
