Chief Information Officer Francis Marion University and the Campus Technology Department invite applications for a Chief Information Officer who is responsible for directing a division that provides the following academic and administrative services for the University: Campus Applications and Data Services; Network Operations & Systems; Instructional Technology and Desktop Support; and Telecommunications. Responsibilities:
FMU preferences: Master’s degree in business administration, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or management information systems. History of management, training, and supervisory roles involving technology. Extensive knowledge of contemporary computing platforms and networking devices. State Minimum Requirements: A bachelor’s degree and relevant experience in communications, business administration, computer science (information technology), mathematics, statistics; management information science or a related field and experience in telecommunications, data processing and/or information technology. The successful candidate will report to the directly to the Vice President for Administration and Planning. State Classification: IT Manager III (AM57) Band/Level: 9/1 Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience. Normal Working Hours: 8: 30 a.m. – 5: 00 p.m., Monday – Friday. Summer hours will vary. Evenings and weekends may be necessary, sometimes with little advanced notice.
