amtran, CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER Amtran is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to manage the financial management, accounting, and management information responsibilities for the public transit agency of over 50 employees. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: performing all financial/ accounting aspects of AMTRAN, including AP/AR, journals, balance sheets, payroll, and monthly financial reports. This position includes being able to prepare the following: monthly, quarterly, and annual grant reports to state and federal agencies, Penn DOT operating and capital grants, federal grant requests to distribute to appropriate agencies, financial data for the FTAs National Transit Database, and preparing and filing tax and pension reports. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and will work with and oversee the performance of the Financial Assistant. Candidate must have knowledge of general accounting practices and principles, accounting and financial reporting standards, knowledge of or ability to learn grant management regulations and government regulations. The educational requirement is a bachelors degree in accounting, finance or closely related area. A CPA license is beneficial but not required. Extensive related experience may be substituted for degree requirements. Salary range: $65,000-$75,000.
