Position Description Updated June 9, 2025 Title: Virginia History Affiliates Coordinator Division: Education & Engagement Reports to: Director of Community Partnerships Position Status: Full-time; Exempt Starting Salary: $40,000/year Position summary: The History Affiliates Coordinator works as a member of the Education & Engagement Division, reporting to the Director of Community Partnerships. The Coordinator will play a key role in developing and implementing a new program designed to strengthen ties between the Virginia Museum of History & Culture (VMHC) and history organizations across the Commonwealth. This affiliate network of history museums, historical societies, historic houses, and other like-minded organizations will, with the leadership of the Coordinator, emphasize the sharing of collections, exhibitions, expertise, and resources, ensuring that the stories of all Virginians, from every region, are preserved through this lasting collaboration.
