RECREATION DIRECTOR

The City of Ottawa is hiring a Recreation Director.

The Recreation Director reports directly to the Playground and Recreation Board and as such oversees the entire recreational program, evaluates it annually, and makes recommendations for its improvements. The main responsibility for this position is to see that board policies and directives are implemented through the day to day operations.

This is a full time position with benefits. In addition to working regular office hours at the Recreation office during the daytime, there will be additional evening hours required to attend events, trainings, and meetings.

Salary range is $50K-$65K, based on experience and qualifications and includes Health/Dental/Vision insurance, IMRF pension, 10 days of paid vacation after 1 year of employment, sick time and personal time. This position is FLSA exempt. Detailed job duties are available per request.
