Photographer/Videographer - Lincoln Journal Star The Lincoln Journal Star is seeking an experienced photojournalist with strong video and photo skills and a passion to tell stories through visual journalism. The ideal candidate will have daily photojournalism experience producing still photographs and video for a news organization. They will be creative, accurate and reliable. The ability to multitask, work under deadlines and effectively communicate are musts. Knowledge of social media tools and digital news content is required. Our photographers cover a range of assignments - breaking news, long-term projects and features, as well as high school and collegiate sports. We are looking for these attributes: • Exceptional core photojournalism skills (photography and videography, reporting, caption writing and journalistic ethics). • The ability to manage complex breaking news situations under intense deadline and logistical pressure. • An understanding of social media and how to respond and engage on digital platforms. • Professional knowledge of Photoshop, Photo Mechanic, Premiere and other photo and video editing software. • Willingness to travel and the flexibility to work evenings and weekends. • A valid driver's license and proof of insurance. • An FAA Part 107 drone certification and/or the ability to produce podcasts and do studio work is a plus. A full set of Canon equipment will be provided, along with access to pool lenses and a laptop with software including Photo Mechanic and Adobe Creative Suite.
