Senior Director/Vice President of People Solutions & Talent Development (Hybrid - Columbia, SC)

The Senior Director/VP of People Solutions and Talent Development is tasked with providing strategic leadership and management oversight for the overall employee experience and culture, organizational effectiveness, and both employee and customer learning and development. This role also encompasses talent acquisition and workforce partnerships. Additionally, this position leads the People, Talent, and Culture functional units, serving as a steward in shaping, supporting, and implementing human capital strategies that optimize people-centric activities and enhance employee engagement.

What You'll Do:

- Provide counsel and support to the CHRO on HR functional unit operations and management.

- Develop and sustain a robust HR infrastructure that drives people engagement, well-being, retention, and business expansion.

- Listen to the challenges, concerns, needs, and opportunities of leadership and act as a valued partner in helping accomplish objectives in alignment with the Bank's mission and vision.

- Develop and implement progressive people programs that drive engagement and development, as well as overall culture.

- Provide strategic oversight of bank and association education programs and initiatives.

- Oversee comprehensive talent development initiatives, ensuring robust performance management systems are in place to drive employee growth and accountability.

- Create enhanced HR value for Association partners by delivering expanded solutions with best-in-class service and support.

- Build, develop, and analyze workforce trends to model and forecast future labor requirements, supporting senior leaders in workforce planning and succession management.

- Assess and benchmark the internal and external environment to identify new opportunities for HR and to improve HR policies and initiatives.

- Identify and drive the sharing of best practices across functional units to facilitate continuous improvement.

- Manage, coach, mento r, and continuously develop a team.

- Act as a liaison between Associations, HR operations, and COEs to ensure HR services are aligned with internal client needs.

What You'll Need:

- Master's Degree required in Human Resources Management, Organizational Leadership, Business Administration, Education, or similar graduate or terminal degree

- 10+ years of substantial business impact with relevant work experience

- SPHR, SHRM-SCP, Change Management, Project Management, or relevant certifications preferred.

- Leadership: Ability to lead and inspire teams, manage change, and drive strategic initiatives.

- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas and influence stakeholders

- Decisiveness: High proficiency in analyzing data to make informed decisions and measure the impact of HR initiatives.

- Strategic Vision/Alignment: Capability to develop and implement long-term strategies that align with organizational goals. Ability to identify new ways for functional areas to support the business strategy and develop clear, actionable steps in support of the overall business strategy.

- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement changes effectively.

- Analytical Thinking: Ability to synthesize large quantities of quantitative and qualitative data, recognize trends, tie back to business priorities, and develop recommendations based on data analysis.

- Collaboration: Strong partnership skills and the ability to influence aligned business unit or functional leaders. Strong ability to build relationships, collaborate with diverse teams, and foster a positive work culture

- Adaptability: Flexibility to navigate and lead through changing environments and organizational needs.

Supervisory Responsibility:

- People Solutions and Talent Development Directors, managers, and indirect employee oversight.
