Are you a library professional looking for part-time hours and are passionate about serving Wake County Public Libraries (WCPL) is seeking a creative, enthusiastic and service-driven Youth Services Librarian with a passion for early childhood development to work Part-Time (20 hours per week) for the Athens Drive Community Library. In this role you will work in the library with a team of Librarians and Library Assistants dedicated to offering quality service and dynamic programming to the community. Beyond developing and delivering storytimes, Librarians provide reference, readers' advisory and circulation assistance. Librarians are offered the opportunity to collaborate with managers and peers; and participate in system initiatives, though on a more limited basis due to the part-time schedule. Key Responsibilities: Plan, promote and present multiple weekly programs for children and families Athens Drive Community Library is centrally located in Raleigh within Athens Drive High School, 1420 Athens Dr., Raleigh, NC 27606. The library operates on a limited schedule during the school year, Mon-Thu 4: 00-9: 00 pm, Fri 4: 00-6: 00, Sat 9: 00-6: 00 and Sun 1: 00-5: 00. From June 16th to August 13th, the library will be open Mon-Thu 9: 00-9: 00, Fri-Sat 9: 00-6: 00, and Sun 1: 00-5: 00. The Athens Drive Community Library was part of the 2024 Library Bond and will be replaced with a new building in the next seven years.
