TRANSPORTATION OPERATIONS MANAGER

Goochland Powhatan Community Services is looking for an organized and experienced Transportation Manager to join our agency. This role involves overseeing the team of van drivers transporting consumers to and from agency programs. In addition to scheduling drivers and assigning their routes, this position is also responsible for working with agency reimbursement to submit accurate transportation billing.

Additional functions of the position include ensuring that drivers maintain required training, developing routes that limit time on the van for consumers, vehicle management including maintenance schedules, and overseeing facility maintenance. In overseeing facility maintenance this position manages procurement and purchasing for agency operations, including RFP for construction, contracts and purchase of services, supplies, and equipment.

The ideal candidate will possess 1 year of supervision experience and 2 years of experience in fleet scheduling and maintenance. Candidates with purchasing and record keeping experience as well as facility maintenance experience highly desired.

High school diploma or GED as well as a valid VA Driver’s License and criminal background check required. The salary range starts at $69,000 based on experience and qualifications.
