Developer (Product Characterization),IBM Corporation, Poughkeepsie, NY (Up to 40% telecommuting permitted): Analyze high-speed I/O (input/output) signals from on chip IP (intellectual property) in wafers, module, and system form. Support end-to-end analog circuit characterization for IOBIST (Input Output Built-In Self-Test). Define and enhance test methodologies to verify the I/O functionality. Provide essential instructions that will guide the I/O team and help improve yield/performing for future nano technologies. Coordinate with test and design teams to perform corrective actions with semiconductor fabrication supplier. Present I/O product analysis to the microprocessor development teams and production teams, this includes test, design for test, characterization, yield, and quality. Work with the production manufacturing team for module build on any I/O issues. Characterize the I/O circuit, identify process issues, design issues early in the product development cycle to drive changes and improve yield and product quality as it relates to I/O circuits. Characterize Analog Circuit IOBIST signatures on IBM microprocessor products. Own the Specification sheets (EMTS) for this analog circuit across the product suite and official document for Systems team and customers. Develop software applications for IP Char product engineer team to improve productivity and analytics to find yield and quality issues faster. Present detailed reports to stakeholders, test teams, design teams, and product engineering on a regular basis. Deliver analysis and characterization on field returns related to IO fails across products and generations. Utilize: Product Characterization Circuit, SQL, Python, Java, Wafer/Module Test Analysis, Yield Modeling, Electrical probing, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM+ nProber), Electric circuit design/analysis. Required: Masters degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Masters degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Hardware Developer or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing Product Characterization Circuit, SQL, Python, Java, Wafer/Module Test Analysis, Yield Modeling, Electrical probing, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM+ nProber), Electric circuit design/analysis. $165942 per year.
