Position summary: Responsible for providing engineering support at the Lost Creek Mine by planning, developing, coordinating and managing projects as directed by the Mine Manager.
Essential Functions:

- Design and construct new systems to meet production goals. This includes design and specification of pumps, piping, electrical, instrumentation and structural designs for the wellfield, plant and other site systems.
- Support wellfield design and construction programs through analysis and design.
- Provide recommendations and budgets to support proposed designs and projects.
- Implement approved changes and installations through procurement and management of appropriate staff.
- Routinely review and optimize existing site systems including engineering support of maintenance activities.

- Provide routine reports on work activities and projects.
- Assist in economic analysis of existing and potential projects.
- Procurement of materials for projects.
- Review and comment on environmental and regulatory standards as they pertain to projects of interest.

Education and Qualifications:

- Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline.
- Knowledge of practices and procedures for project design, procurement, construction and environmental safety and health.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft products (Excel, Word, etc.) as well as CAD software.
- Ability to read and understand or interpret documents such as construction and PID drawings.
- Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record.

This may require walking on rough terrain and through piping systems and may require the employee to climb ladders and stairs. Additionally, the employee is regularly required to use hands for various tasks; to see and hear adequately to perform all essential functions and maintain a safe work environment. The employee is routinely required to sit or stand at a desk / computer.
- Work Environment: While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee works in an office; in the plant and/or field; is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally to outside adverse weather conditions. There is the potential that the employee will be exposed to low-level radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
