General Responsibilities:

We are seeking a talented, energetic individual to join our America's Desktop Support team supporting Synopsys's infrastructure and R&D teams. Our team's mission is to provide world class IT Support for Synopsys. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day technical support to local hands-on and remote employees forhardware, software, and networking issues on their laptops and mobile devices
  • Assist in the IT asset life cycle refresh process for new hires and existing employees including imaging, configuring, and migrating to new systems.
  • Assist in various IT functions such as hardware and software installations and rolling out new systems to end users/groups
  • Maintains passwords, data integrity and file system security
  • Manage logistical aspects oflaptop and accessory distribution atour Marlborough, Massachusetts officelocationincluding asset management, inventory management, shipping and receipt of hardware. Retiring and secure disposal of IT Assets as needed.
  • Develop, document, implement and communicate standard operating procedures and instructional guidelines for IT teams and end users
  • Participate in new software or hardware testing, including detailed technical feedback
  • Minimal travel, as needed, to support field site projects

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists in maintenance of network equipment and teleconference equipment.
  • Assists other teams within the Information Technology organization to support their projects,hardware, softwareand networking.
  • Assists in the support of the computer room anddata center operations arena

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Excellentwritten and spoken English
  • Fully proficient with the WindowsandMacOSoperating systems
  • Applicants must be familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite. Extensive experience with Excel and SharePoint a plus
  • Has working knowledge of the mobile wireless operating systems (iOS and Android)
  • Thoroughunderstanding of PC computer hardware and efficient troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to maintain effective relationships withcolleagues andinternal customers
  • Ability to communicate highly technical information to both technical and nontechnical personnel
  • Be able to conduct training programs designed to educate an organization's computer users about basic and specialized applications
  • Ability to multitask and transition quickly between multiple issues
  • High level of accountability andability tolead initiatives from start to finish with minimal supervision

Experience/Education: BA or BSor a minimum of three years ofrelatedexperience is preferred. Physical Requirements: Ability to move up to 40 pounds of hardware occasionally and/or the ability to move a negligible amount frequentlytosupport a variety of office equipment
