The St. Louis Post-Dispatch is seeking a full-time photo and video journalist to help us tell dynamic stories in the St. Louis region. We want someone to handle both quick work and deep work, depending on what the situation calls for. You'll have the chance to cover everything from breaking news to professional sports, portraits and features. We want someone who can craft both stunning still images and engaging videos. You'll be expected to work with urgency and immediacy for our digital platforms, but we'll also provide the time and opportunity for you to develop visual stories. Our visual team members strive for individual excellence, work closely together, and push one another - aiming to have fun in the process. Winners of the Pulitzer Prize, the Robert F. Kennedy Award and numerous NPPA awards are on our current staff. We provide you with good quality camera gear (two Canon R3 bodies and R lenses), a PC computer, a mobile internet hot spot and a shared closet full of pool lenses. Greater St. Louis is a diverse region with 2.8 million residents. It is home to Fortune 500 companies, two major research universities, three pro sports teams and eclectic, vibrant neighborhoods. There are unlimited stories to tell here, and we want your help to bring those to life. When applying, please include a link to an online portfolio that demonstrates your skills in photo and video journalism. We'd like to see your work in as many areas as you have experience in - news, features, sports, portraits, lighting, storytelling. The ideal candidate is anywhere from early-to-mid career with a combination of journalism experience and/or education under your belt.
