Position summary: Responsible for the management of all drilling, well installation and testing of wells.

- Plan and manage various drilling programs, including supervision of the Casing Crew and contractors.
- Coordinate well installation with the Wellfield Development Manager, Geologists and Wellfield Construction Supervisor.
- Coordinate purchasing of materials with Wellfield Development Manager as needed for team. Maintain inventories of equipment and supplies.
- Detailed planning of drilling activities including drill rig placement.
- Assist, as requested, in review and evaluation of future drilling plans.
- Supervise the drill rig payment program.
- Oversee regulatory compliance with topsoil and other field issues.
- Direct well development activities.
- Oversee well completion, casing, MIT, abandonment, and workovers requiring drill rigs.
- Develop reports, statistics and presentations for management as requested.
- Submit regular safety inspection reports.
- Schedule equipment maintenance.
- Assign contractor access routes.
- Promote safety to reduce risk in wellfield development.
- Other duties as may be assigned.

Education and Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Post-secondary education, or equivalent in experience, understanding of basic geology with strong drilling experience.
- Driver’s license with driving record for insurance eligibility.
- Ability to accurately communicate work requirements to staff and contractors.
- Understanding of basic site equipment as well as be able to learn the use of specific well installation equipment.
- Ability to write reports on departmental activities and review cost and performance data.
- Math and computer skills to support all essential functions.

There is the potential that the employee will be exposed to low-level radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
