We are seeking a visionary Chief Data and Technology Officer to define, lead, and execute a strategic plan for Gannett's next phase of data, technology and product transformation. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise with the latest technologies along with a proven track record of transforming organizations for growth opportunities, including building exceptional B2B and B2C products, tools and customer experiences to grow overall market share, and diversify revenue streams. The ideal candidate should also have experience with developing data monetization strategies in organizations with disparate data sources as well as experience with organizational optimization and transformation. A strong foundation in IT security and data privacy practices, requirements, and tools is also important. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: In partnership with the Company's functional leaders, develop and implement a comprehensive data and technology strategy aligned with the company's short and long-term business objectives. Innovation: Lead the adoption of new technologies to improve digital media and marketing solutions systems and products, including AI, machine learning, and big data analytics. Innovate and experiment with emerging technologies to create new revenue streams, improve customer experience, and ensure the organization remains competitive in the digital landscape. Implement and scale data-driven insights into decision-making processes, overseeing the creation and implementation of innovative tools and platforms to improve user engagement and experience. Collaboration: Work closely with other functional leaders to integrate data and technology initiatives into overall business strategies. Operations: Direct the management and optimization of the organization's technology infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security. Data: Oversee the collection, storage, management, optimization and protection of data across the organization. Security/Governance: Ensure data quality, robust IT security posture, and compliance with relevant data and privacy regulations. Team Leadership: Lead and manage cross-functional teams across engineering, data science, analytics, product development, and technology, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence. Education/Certification Requirements Experience Required or Preferred Specialized Knowledge Required or Preferred #LI-REMOTE #LI-NR2 The annualized base salary for this role will range between $425,000 and $475,000. Base compensation is reflective of many factors, including, but not limited to, the market in which one lives/works, individual education level, skills, certifications and experience. Note: variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable. |
